PJ is 3!

This weekend we were invited to PJ's 3rd birthday party! What fun we had!!! He had a bounce house in his back yard and a really cool swing set that had a fun slide and rock climbing wall!! Abigail scaled that thing like she'd been doing it all her life and it was her first time!! Who knew we had a climber in the family!?!? I was shocked! She spent the majority of her time 'jump, jump, jump' in the bounce house! She LOVES those things! We had yummy Chick-Fil-A for lunch and for dessert....well, cup cakes and ice cream of course! :) My girl had such a great time! We were so thankful we were invited to such a sweet little's birthday party!!!

(11-14-10) Oh Christmas Tree...Oh Christmas Tree...You are so very pretty!

Today Mimi and Mine Mine came over for their weekly donut fix after church! Afterwards all the girls went Targeting so Mimi could get a tree for Abigail's room! She was so excited...they had all colors for trees...pink, turquoise, black, white, metallic green, 'tree' green....SO MUCH to choose from! Mom and I were pretty happy that you chose the simple 'tree' green as your 'final' selection! LOL And no, we didn't make the decision for you! You picked out some pretty cute ornaments to go on it too! They were a cute little, expensive box of ice cream cones and cup cakes! lol You also picked out some fun little different colored plain ornaments that were fun too! You picked a PURPLE (SHOCK) star to go on top and the lights you picked out had to have PURPLE in them as well. lol We almost bought a purple skirt to go around it but we opted not to since it was $8!!! lol. OIY! This tree wasn't cheap....but it was so much fun to watch my girl pick everything out! We packed up and went home...pulled it all out and got to work. I only had to show you one time how to put the ornament on the tree and the rest you did all by yourself!!! :) You had so much fun and you did such a GREAT job!!! Later, I went to go to the store and realized I didn't have my wallet...long story short...it fell out of the diaper bag, was left in a shopping cart, a very NICE person turned it in untouched and I had to go back to Target to get it. So while there, I decided to buy the LAST PURPLE skirt...b/c it just didn't look like a Christmas tree without it! :) We love you BG! Can't wait to watch you open your presents from Santa!!!

Making my list....Christmas card list that is!!!

Shutterfly has some really great cards out for the Christmas Season! I have decided to go with them for my Christmas cards this year and now I just have to choose which card it is that I want!!! There are so many great ones to choose from....

I REALLY LOVE this one...and it just so happens that the Monogram is an 'H'!


I like this one b/c it's simple, it's folded and it has the year. :)


In TX, we don't get much snow...so I love this one because of the snow flakes! :)


I love the idea of doing a story card. What better way to fill in friends and family about the highlights of your year as a family! LOVE IT!


I could always go the tradition route for us....the photo card. This one is SO CUTE and I am such a picture person it's about a perfect match! ;)

Dallas Zoo! (Monday, November 8, 2010)

The Dallas Zoo has been calling our names since the weather started cooling down! The last time we were at the Zoo Abigail was just 6 weeks old and we were there to have Jenny the elephant paint my Mom a picture for her birthday.....my how time flies. Right after that visit the Zoo lost two of their animals; Kiki the elephant and Borris the Lion. :( There was a lot of controversy as to whether the zoo needed to hang on to Jenny the elephant b/c she was alone. Some people wanted to send her to the elephant reserve in Tennessee. I'm so happy they didn't!! Instead they made her a new home, along with the giraffes, lions, cheatas.....called the Giants of the Savannah.
We invited The Pascuzzi's to go with us on our adventure! We got there around 10:15 a.m. and stayed until 3:30.....WHAT a FUN day!!!

We started out in the children's area! First stop....the pink flamingos! I <3 PINK FLAMINGOS!!!


Abigail was fascinated with the little mice they had everywhere on the way in! They were pretty cute.

Then we headed over to the other side for the Giants of the Savannah exhibit!! I was so excited to see what they had done for Jenny!!! When we got there I was TOTALLY excited!!! They didn't get Jenny just one other elephant...there were FIVE OTHER elephants!!! Two of them were right there just yards from us extending their trunks up into the air grabbing hay out of the net above them. They were just MASSIVE...I was in AWE! Abigail thought it was way cool. I think she was taken at just how big they were too. Then I found out that one of them was JENNY!!! YEAY!!! My Mom would have just died if she were there....She LOVES elephants so much she collects them!

The giraffes were next! And they were right there in front of us....and the cool thing is that all the kiddos got to FEED the giraffes! They thought that it was so cool! PJ was in HEAVEN....he's so into animals and the giraffe being right there was pretty cool!

My girl has this beauty to her that takes her Mommies breath away....I love her so much....

...and then she wanted him to lick her....but the anticipation was too much for her...she'd move before the tongue could get her! HAHAHA



and here is Kelly with her littles! and PJ is such a brave little guy....Jeffrey caught him with his tongue!!! LOL He got me too and it feels a lot like sand paper. Not what I thought it'd be like at all!!!

SUCH a great time!! So thankful the Pascuzzi's came along and enjoyed the day with us! It was perfect weather and there was NO ONE there! Couldn't have been better! Well....maybe if our hubby's were able to join us! ;)
