3 Party Day

Yes...THREE parties. Three parties with BOTH littles! WHAT was I thinking? Well, I ended up kidnapping my Mom to help me the whole day. LOL

We started the day out at a friend's house in Dallas who has rescently started selling 31 products. I. LOVE. 31. PERIOD. And it doesn't help that I have a small fascination with bags...any kind of bags. Lunch bags, diaper bags, totes, purses...you get the point. I'm an addict and need an intervention! HA! For real, though....had to make a real effort not to spend a fortune at the party. This shin-dig was from 11-1.

Next up? Birthday party for a Mommy's little that's in our Mommies Group. She turned 4!! We had so much fun. Here birthday theme was RAINBOWS...and there was color everywhere! SO FUN! There was a bounce house and face painting....there were even horses in the yard (the birthday girl's grandparent's owned them)
The girl NEVER wants her face painted....but today, today was DIFFERENT! She went for it...and not just a little here and there...but full court press! AWESOME! I think I was more excited than she was!! Here she's getting ready.... :)

And the finished product...a brown kitty!!!! She has a little beanie baby cat that I got when I was in high school that she carries around with her everywhere. Who knew when I got that thing that one day my girl would LOVE it. :) Funny.


This is BG and her BFF Miss K hanging out together at the party! I LOVE this girl...so does Abigail. Miss K has a little brother who is just 9 days younger than Sister! So, we all get along great! :)

Party #3....Miss A's 4th birthday party!!! So adorable. we showed up and all the littles were dressed in princess attire....somehow I missed the memo on the invite *Optional~ Dress as your favorite princess*. OIY! GO MOM! lol Sheesh...but at least she was painted up like a little kitty for a short period of time. We ended up wet wiping that face spic and span clean...face paint is not water proof. lol Miss A is Abigail's little school buddy that's in her class this year. I didn't realize until recently that A's Mommy and I were in Bible study together last fall.

There was a bounce house here as well! :) The birthday girl and my little bouncin like crazies! :) This one is WAY BIGGER than the one we have!! Maybe we'll have to get one of these for Abigail's birthday?!?!?!

The weather has seemed to talk it down a notch her in big D....not too much but we'll take what we can get! lol At the END of the summer we came across this fantastic little playground that is COVERED! Which, there in lies the question, WHY don't they ALL have a cover on them here??!?! Or anywhere for that matter? You would think that sun protection would be a PLUS?!!? Maybe it's a cost issue? Anyways... We had FUN! We met up with Abigail's new friend Miss L and her little brother G.

Aren't they cute? Little girls...it's so fun to watch their friendships bloom. To watch them step out of their comfort zones and make friends. They start out shy and before you know it they are chatting it up like they have been life long friends. Ya know, 3 years=life long! HA :)



When going down the slide sister always insists on holding a finger or hand on the way down....not today....today she did it all by herself and laughed the whole way down. :) growin up, baby, growin up.


Abigail loves the swings.... you could leave her on a swing all day and she'd be just fine with it. lol Her Daddy tried to teach her how to do it herself the other day but she wouldn't have it. She's not ready to be that big yet. :)


After about an hour of play time the Mommies decided to make a trip to the yogurt store to cool off.
The littlest littles waiting patiently while the Mommies help the bigger littles get their yogurts. They were watching the guy that worked there wash the windows. :) At this age anything can intrigue them! lol




G man enjoyed the spoons after we were finished....he's growin' some teeth. :) Such a little doll baby.

Football Tuesday

Every Tuesday night big brother J has his football game. Abigail loves them. This home game had the cheerleaders and she was memorized!!! lol Oh, God help me!!! I am always quick to point out the dancers as they take the field at half time!!! ;)

Abigail scored a snack on her walk with Mimi...they musta passed to concession stand!

It's a team effort to keep sister entertained at the football games...here is Dad and T walking with sister as she takes them on a tour of the track/football field. I just love this pic and wish I had my zoom lens for this shot. Makes my heart smile.

rubber pieces. WHAT?

You know she's had a great day at school when she comes home, takes off her shoes and these little things fly all over the place!!! This would be the little rubber pieces from the play ground at school. lol

***Creeped me out the first time she came home and we took off her shoes!!!

A*B*I*G*A**I*L

Shopping in the crafts section at Walmart I came across these alphabet beads and string and thought....hhhmmmm, I bet Abigail would LOVE to do something with these. She's a crafty little thing and now she's all about doing things on her own. So, I bought them and decided to make her a necklace as I waited in the car line to pick her up after school. This one came out cute, so I thought!



But then we made one for her little BFF K using all different colors so I decided to let her make her own like that. I poured those little suckers out on the counter and I called out each letter in her name one by one as she picked them out of the pile. She LOVED that!!! We moved to the table and the intensity began....

*ROCK STAR'S* @ The Plano Balloon Festival....

This year Mimi thought it would be fun to go to the annual Plano Balloon Festival! She had never been and I had never been to the actual location, just watched them float over us in the wee hours of the morning several years back. SO much fun. Well, once we got there anyways. OIY! THE TRAFFIC....UGH. HORRID. We seriously sat in the same spot on the road for 20 minutes. We decided to bypass the closest $10 parking and park on the other side of that parking area for $5! SCORE! We had to walk just a bit but it was really nice out so it was not any biggie. :)

Once we got there my friend Wendy~ who has a balloon and just so happened to be there participating in the festival~ came and got us taking us down on the field to watch the balloons up close and personal. Once I was there and I saw the CrOwD on the HiLl I was SO thankful that she was kind enough to get us down on the field with the balloons for the balloon glow. The older I get the more I absolutely don't love a crowd. Especially in hot sticky weather! :P Once the sun started going down the action started. Wendy told me when they count down for the balloon glow it's crazy....that I would never be closer to feeling like a rock star than when they count down and everyone on the hill starts taking pics and all the flashes are going off. I must say, it was pretty cool. Every bit worth the waiting 20 mins in the car in one spot and trecking through a neighborhood to get there! :)

Big brother the football player!

Tuesday was J's very first football game EVER! So, we went to cheer him on. We had NO idea what number he was b/c he didn't know. First he was #2, then he was #63. We sent big brother T over to investigate and find you so we knew who to watch for!!! He was #24!!! Well, he played one down and we totally missed it. UGH! We had fun though!
Mimi and Mine Mine came and you ALWAYS love it when they are around. :) Just a few pics to document the night....

I am so excited that my girl is SO EXCITED to go to school!!! We were waiting in line to drop her off and I swear she was going to climb through the car window!!! hahahaha. For those wondering...we were NOT driving down the road. We were parked that is why she is not in her seat and doesn't have her seat belt on! :)


Later you told me about your day...or, at least part of it! :) You and your friend Howie were chosen to be teacher's helpers! Howie passed out the cups and you got to hand out the napkins! :) And...you learned about the color yellow! :)

Tuesday you were assigned some 'homework'! Mrs. P send home a paper doll that we were to decorate to look like you! I pulled out the crayons and you went to work coloring....added some buttons for your eyes, nose and mouth and I cut some tulle to make a "tutu". You wanted your doll to look like a ballerina! tee hee. You did a great job decorating!!! <3 Here is the result:
