PuMpKiN Patchin It!

Last year we went to The Big Orange Pumpkin Farm and had so much fun we decided to go back again this year. And we were not disappointed! Mime and Mine Mine went with us this year too.
So, with Brian at the wheel....

We were off!
It's about a 45 minute drive from where we live to Celina. To help Abigail pass the time in her car seat she and Mimi were looking for RED BIG TRUCKS, or Red 18-wheelers! She has a thing for big trucks lately. lol

First thing is first...we got there and started feeding some animals! We fed sheep and goats....




We saw little chicks, hens, roosters. A GINORMOUS Long horn that we didn't get close to. And it wreaked of manure. Eeeeew!!! But it was FUN! We were content on feeding the animals...and then....


SOMETHING caught her little blue eyes and nothing else mattered. What was it you ask???? It was this and you know we had to!







and the best part is that she didn't even throw a fit when it was all done! I was so proud!!!! I think we all were! :)
And then we headed out to the patch! You and Josh had a good time running around and picking up and putting down several pumpkins before you found the perfect one! You guys did good!

Then we headed to the hay ride! Such fun! Abigail absolutely loved this last year, and I'm pretty sure she loved it even more this year! :) This girl is adventurous!





At the end of the hay ride a butterfly landed on Mine Mine's leg and Abigail thought that was pretty cool. Josh says that it's good luck when a butterfly lands on you!

Somewhere in all that fun we sat for a few and enjoyed the all american hot dog, bag of chips and a coke! We will probably make this an annual thing. It's such a fun place to go and enjoy your family. If you are in the area, I encourage you to go next year to! :)

And I couldn't close this post without a gimps of last year. WOW...what a year does....she has grown so much in so many ways.... Keep growin, baby girl, keep growin. <3

Didn't make it to the arboretum....BUT....

The girls and I were headed to the Dallas Arboretum to meet up with Kelly and her littles PJ and Katelyn. We ended up not making it there....LONG STORY...and we ended up at Firewheel Mall. We attempted to spread out a blanket and have a picnic lunch but the ground was wet from the rains the day before and it soaked through BOTH our blankets. All well...it was still fun and the kids seemed to enjoy it, although the wind about blew us away and we had wet spots in different areas depending on how we were sitting!

Afterwards Ms. Kelly surprised them all with suckers! Abigail was really proud of hers...can you tell! LOL :)

Dejavu

Abigail has a thing for tormenting our cats! She seems to think of it as a challenge....how long can I lay on this ball of fur before it starts making noises.... i.e. growling/whining! LOL She really does take after her mother in so many ways and THIS is definitely one of them!!! So, without further ado....THIS is Gage, our handsome grey cat!

and THIS would be Abigail starting her 'challenge' ~she looks so innocent, doesn't she?

She makes him do whatever she wants....just like her mother did at that age.... Note the look of joy on her face and the look of fear in Gage's eyes! HA!

The girl loves her cats! I can't believe how much my girl has grown....I don't know where time has gone or continues to go. She is such a beautiful little girl FULL of love. She is truly a gift from God. <3

Thursday evening Mom came over after work. We had some Gymbucks to spend and they were redeemable starting that day! We were going to leave the girls with Brian but he wanted to mow the yard so we took them. I'm so glad we did! We went Firewheel Mall, an outdoor mall, to the Gymboree store and Mom bought Abigail and Samantha their Christmas dresses (check that off the list!) and a couple cute accessories to go with them. Then we headed across the road to the little park they have. I had some bubbles in the car so I grabbed them thinking she would enjoy them enough to keep her off the play ground where all the older kids were. :/ She was entertained briefly, to say the least! There is a nice big fountain that she absolutely LOVES and we have to go see every time we go there.....so off to the fountain we went. When we got there we saw this cute little train on wheels that the littles could ride. It has never been there before, that I know of. Abigail approached it looking somewhat unsure of it. I asked the guy if it was available to ride and how much? $3.00 gets you twice around the parking lot. I asked Abigail if she wanted to ride....she got a huge smile on her face and shook her head saying "uh-hu". SOLD! He opened the car door to the first one behind the 'engine'. She sat down and then pointed to the steering wheel and said, "there!" We both laughed and I explained that she couldn't drive the train and she had to be a passenger....she was over it. I asked her if she wanted me to go with her and she shook her head back and forth so fast and said NO, Mommy, NO! *Deep breath* Ok (I say hesitantly!) They took off.....Abigail the only passenger on the train. She was SUCH a big girl. Just sat there the whole time....looking around, taking it all in, the wind blowing through her hair. My little girl is growing up. Twice around they went and I told Mom....she's not going to want to get out. Sure enough, she didn't, threw a fit. I ended up having to bribe her with Auntie Anne's Cinnamon pretzel sticks! UGH! I lifted her out of the little car and I asked her to tell the nice man thank you.... so in her sweet little voice she says, "THANK YOU FOR THE TRAIN RIDE, THANK YOU!" She can melt my heart that girl.
Off we went to Auntie Anne's. We sat on a bench enjoying the beautiful fall weather we have anxiously been waiting for while Abigail enjoyed her cherry ice and cinnamon sticks. My Abigail knows no stranger. Every person that passed us while we were sitting on that little bench, and I mean EVERY PERSON, she waved and said hi to. Cinnamon mouth and all. :) She's such a little social thing!!!
